The Intimidating Truth

I keep thinking about what the owner of a creative company said to me. He said, “ We don’t have any work for you. Your work is good but there are a lot of better people.” He’s right. It sucks but he is right, I told him that. I told him, “ I appreciate you for criticizing me. There are a lot of people that tell you what you wanna hear. Few who will come along and tell you what you need to hear. As much as it sucks to hear that you're not ‘great’, I needed to hear that.”
And I meant it.
I needed to be challenged.
Humbled.
My heart still wants this though. I don’t feel scared away.
Well, a little intimidated. I’m mistaking the emotion of intimidation with ‘not being good enough’. – Rarely do I feel intimidated.
But my heart still wants this. I went through and came out of darkness with this passion. Sukoon has been many things to me. Sukoon has been a peaceful start in a vulnerable state, Sukoon has been an earth changing notion, Sukoon has been dead - stuck in paracosm, Sukoon has become a visual. My visual.
